Delayed, cancelled, or denied boarding on a flight operated by this airline? Under UK and EU passenger rights law, you may be entitled to financial compensation — and we can help you understand your options.
If your flight was disrupted, you may have a claim under UK Assimilated Regulation 261/2004 (for flights departing UK airports or on a UK carrier) or EU Regulation EC 261/2004 (for flights departing EU airports or on an EU carrier). Here’s what these laws entitle you to.
Up to £520 / €600 per passenger for delays of 3+ hours, cancellations, or being denied boarding.
If your flight is cancelled or you’re denied boarding, you can choose a full refund or re-routing to your destination.
The airline must provide meals, refreshments, and — if stranded overnight — hotel accommodation and transfers.
Lost, delayed, or damaged baggage may be claimed under the Montreal Convention on international routes.
Compensation under UK 261 and EC 261 is calculated by flight distance. The amounts below are set by law — the airline cannot offer you less than this.
| Flight Distance | UK Amount | EU Amount | Applies When |
|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 1,500 km | £220 | €250 | Short-haul flights within UK/Europe |
| 1,500 – 3,500 km | £350 | €400 | Medium-haul routes |
| Over 3,500 km | £520 | €600 | Long-haul intercontinental routes |
Compensation may be reduced by 50% if the airline offers you re-routing and you arrive within a certain time of the original schedule. A compensation payment is separate from any refund you may also be entitled to.
Tell us about your flight disruption and we’ll help you understand what you may be entitled to — and what your next steps should be.
